Mark’s Bio

Born and raised in Shepparton. I moved to Melbourne in the year 2000 to kick off my journey as brand designer. When Mac’s were beige and phones weren’t smart.
First 5 years were spent learning the brand design ropes in a rapidly growing agency (now long gone). Following 5 were spent as a free agent hopping around Melbourne from agency to agency. I met some very inspirational folks during this period and learnt a lot about the business of design along the way.
The first 10 years were great. So great that they inspired me to take the leap and start building my own thing. To make this happen I partnered up with my favourite (and only) brother Andrew O’Keeffe and together we formed Alto – a studio of design thinkers and doers with a keen focus on the education and knowledge industries. Helping out clients to design the best possible educational products and services and connecting these solutions to the people who need it most – their customers. Brand, marketing and comms being the core of what we do.
Outside of work I’m a proud dad, amateur electric bassist and volunteer firefighter.
