Seventh Beam Conquers Kosi for Rare Cancers Australia!

Jeff Smith

The team at Seventh Beam recently took on a mighty challenge – the Kosi Challenge – to raise funds for Rare Cancers Australia, a valued partner of our company. This incredible event involved a 21km hike from Thredbo to the peak of Australia’s highest mountain, Mount Kosciuszko! For those seeking a slightly less strenuous option, a 13km walk from Eagles Nest after a scenic chairlift ride was also available.

Seventh Beam Hits the Trail for a Cause

With a spirit of adventure and a commitment to giving back, twelve members of the Seventh Beam team laced up their hiking boots: Steve, Jeff, Dave, Emma, Brent, Sebastian, and Tasha. They were joined by some amazing family members – Al, Olly, Oscar, Sully, and Abby – who all came together to support this worthy cause.

Reaching New Heights – Together

Through sheer determination and teamwork, the entire Seventh Beam crew successfully completed the challenge! Their efforts were fuelled by the knowledge that they were raising critical funds for Rare Cancers Australia, an organization that provides vital support to the 52,000 Australians diagnosed with rare and less common cancers each year.

A Mountain of Generosity

The Seventh Beam team’s incredible efforts resulted in a fantastic fundraising total of $4,629! This incredible sum will go directly towards supporting Rare Cancers Australia’s essential work in research, advocacy, and patient support.

Steve – Our Kosi Champion

A special shout-out goes to Steve, our CEO, who has a true passion for the Kosi Challenge! This year’s climb marked his impressive 11th time conquering the mountain – a testament to his dedication and commitment to both the mountain and giving back to the community.

Seventh Beam is proud to have participated in the Kosi Challenge and support Rare Cancers Australia. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated and helped us reach this amazing fundraising goal! Inspired to join the fight against rare cancers?
